A new aquarium being planned for Xochimilco, located in the southern part of Mexico City, will represent one of the first of a new generation of world-class aquariums. The exhibits are being specifically composed and arranged to communicate the delicate balance of nature's ecosystems and biomes and humankind's need to support a more harmonious equilibrium within the natural world.
The Xochimilco area of Mexico City has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. cosestudiis assisting TEN Arquitectos of Mexico City by developing the content and design of all the exhibition areas and planning the technical infrastructure required to allow the project to become one of the first environmentally sustainable aquariums in the world.
